Weekly Homework
Your student will come home each night with their homework written in their assignment notebook. Generally, homework will follow this pattern:
Reading: 15 minutes each school night
Math: An Everyday Math "Math Link" sheet or generic math practice paper
5-10 Minutes Practicing Multiplication Facts
Spelling: Practicing new spelling words (given on Monday) after a pre-test to decide their level.
Each family can decide how to study the words based off what works best for your student.
Spelling ideas are available to those who want it.

Homework Club
This is an optional month practice packet that I offer for interested students and families. It is one double sided paper a week that offers a challenge to what we are doing in class. I would like to save paper, so the students will have to sign up to receive this packet and can cancel their Homework Club membership at any time.
The program called "Sunshine Math". It is a program that offers various higher order thinking math problem each week. The sheet uses are star system to rate each problem's difficultly. Students who complete a months worth of sheets with not more than one problem wrong on each sheet will receive a prize from the prize bin. If they get more than one wrong, they are welcome to try to fix it during free time at school before the end of the month.
If you are interested, please let me know and I will start sending home the homework!
