It was so wonderful to meet so many parents during back to school night! If any questions have popped up since my thrilling powerpoint, just send me an email!
We are fully in the swing of things as September comes to an end! We adopted a paper dragon and named it Shadow. Many of the students chipped it to give Shadow a little color. Next time you walk into our classroom, make sure to say hi to him!
In social studies we have been working on communities. The students had to list as many things that could be found in a city in under 2 minutes. Our winner was Logan with 13 different items. Woohoo! We also got to draw our own rural farms. They included everything you could think of, from mud pits with pigs in them to an entire apple orchard!
We're continuing to get to know our reading buddies. In this weeks pictures there is a sneak peak of some of the reading buddy pairs working hard! We also got to play a game during Tower Time! It was called Me Too! One child would call out something about them and anyone else who agreed had to speed walk around the circle to find a different spot to sit. It was a fun way to meet different third graders and stretch our legs!
There are only 4 more weeks until Michaelmas. Has your family started a craft yet?
Have a wonderful weekend! Don't forget to dress snazzy for picture day on Monday!
