We have had such a busy couple of weeks!
This week we celebrated Halloween and had a blast at our Halloween parade. We were able to play Monster Detective and Fainting Froggy. Not to mention we had some yummy treats!
We have started Multiplication Conferences. Each week your student will meet with a teacher to test what they know for multiplication. They must have at least two conferences a week, but can have up to five if they are feeling extremely motivated! A conference consists of coming up to a teacher and saying out loud the answers to a family of multiplication problems. So, if they are on their 2 facts, they will say the answers to all of their two multiplication facts. The order of facts goes: 10, 2, 5, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12. After that, they move on to division.
We also started our Native American tribe research projects. The students are using e-books to study a specific tribe. They will use their notes to create a Glogster and present it to the class. If they choose to, they may also make a side-project at home for extra points.
During Tower Time we started a Leaf Creature project. They created a creature with a partner and are going to write a story about their creature. We will be using Google Docs to create this story so they can both share it. I cannot wait to see what they come up with!
