We learned so much on our field trip today. This week, we wrapped up our Native American research. The students will begin to present their Glogsters on Monday. So exciting!
Since our week is short, things will be a little different. We will have our spelling test on Tuesday. We will also be doing presentations instead of math lessons, so there will be no homework. We will be doing a short show and share on Wednesday if we can fit it in. Also, if you missed the email, I sent out a link to sign up for conferences. Click Here to access the sign up for conferences. Have a great weekend! Kristen

Game day was so much fun! There was pie face everywhere, soda floats a plenty, and lots of smiling faces. It was a perfect way to end our week. Thanks for all the families that sent in games for us to play!
Our theme basket is going to be Dogs. In the next few months, if you stumble across any dog related items you would like to donate towards our basket, our school and PTA would truly appreciate it. Every little bit, no matter how tiny, helps. All of the money goes towards the school and your children, so thank you in advance. Our Native American project is well under way. We are mostly done the research part of our project. On Monday, the students will be introduced to an online program called Glogster where they will display their information. We will work on that over the next week. They will have access to this website at home. However, please limit your help to spelling, grammar, and listening to them present. Also, if your family chooses to do a crank up project they are not due until the week of Thanksgiving. Plenty of time! Next week, due to the field trip and Thanksgiving the following week, we will be extending spelling and reading. So they will get their spelling words on Monday but the test will not be until the following Tuesday. Have a great weekend! -Mrs. Mitchell
Soon we will be having our first community meeting of the year. If your child has a special skill (dancing, singing, playing an instrument, a special trick) you can send me a video of it and it may get highlighted at the next community meeting! They accept way more than just stories!
Thank you to all the parents who either came in to visit during the party or sent in food or costumes for our school parade and celebration. It was so much fun! Have a great weekend! -Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Erving - Upcoming Events November 5th - Picture retake day November 6th - Unit 2 Assessment November 8th - PTA Candy BINGO (sign up online) |
