Happy Friday! We made it through our first week of distance learning. Anna and I have a Friday Riddle for you. Can you solve it? If you think you know the answer, head on over to ConnectEd to give it a guess. :) Both you and your families continue to amaze me. We got through this together. This is not easy and you are all rockin' it! Fridays will be a little more relaxed. I hope you enjoy! One last resource to leave you with. I am able to comment on what you send in through ConnectEd, but you're not able to comment back. If your student ever wants to actually chat with me like we do in the morning, we can become pen pals! Every student has a Google account. I didn't get to show the kids how to login, but it follows the same pattern that most of their other logins do. If they'd like, they can make a Google Doc and share it with me (Kristen Mitchell). Or, I can create one for them if you email me. This way we can write back and forth like penpals. No pressure, just wanted to offer the choice! Google Drive Link Username: [email protected] example: [email protected] (this is their login for the computer, so a few friends actually have their middle initial as well) Password: first initial last initial-lunch number example: km-81234 (same as the computer as well) Have an amazing weekend, everyone! Office Hours: 9:00 - 11:00 3:30 - 5:00 ELA What book are you reading? We’d love to hear from you! Here are some ways you can do this: Draw a picture (have mom or dad send an email) Record your voice or type in the box to tell me about your favorite character or your favorite part of the story so far Math It’s Friday! You worked so hard this week. Your job today is to play one of the following math games. Remember, you can find lots of math games on the EveryDay Math side of ConnectEd at any time. Math Game Choices: - Baseball Multiplication - Equivalent Fractions - Name that Number Science OPTIONAL - Just like at school, you can watch Mystery Doug at home. Follow this link here to learn about the science of rainbows for Saint Patrick’s Day! Before you can view the video, you do need to have Mom or Dad sign up with an email. However, it is completely free! The only email you will get is a weekly reminder to check out their fun science videos. If your family would rather keep their email private, try this Youtube video on rainbows instead. After you watch one of the videos, make sure to tell us your favorite fact in the “Note to Teacher” box on Wonders.

I think the answer is a clock because clocks have a minute hand and an hour hand.
