Welcome to Day 3 of learning from home. Everyone came up with some fun vocabulary sentences yesterday. One of the spiciest sentences was: "There was a passenger in the car going to Mexico to buy a chihuahua." Love it! Today we are doing our first story! You can either read the story by yourself or listen to the narrator just like in class. Don't forget to type your answers in the "Note to Teacher" box below.
We are also doing our first attempt at practice math problems. Your parents do not have to print these. Just like in class when I put something on the board and you solve it on your white board, you can do that here. Find a scrap paper and solve these multiplication problems! There will different skills we will work on each day. I have added a spot on my website that I will put additional links provided by the school. It is called "Helpful Links," and it is located right next to the daily activities. This includes information from the integrated arts team (physical education, art, and music) as well as a list of all the subscriptions and passwords we use for research, learning, and fun. I am sure there will be more resources to come! Look back there to check every couple of days. Office Hours: 9:00 - 11:00 6:00 - 7:30 Daily Assignments: ELA Click on the story Firsts in Flight. If you click the speaker icon, the story will be read aloud to you just like in class. Listen carefully! :) When you are finished, please answer the question below in the "Note to Teacher" box. Respond to These Questions: 1. How did the Wright brothers help people fly? 2. Tell what you know about airplanes. Discuss other ways to fly. * Remember to use complete sentences Math Please complete the attached problems. Make sure to show your work and explain your thinking to an adult at home. Remember, you don’t need to print these. Just like at home, you can do your work on a scrap paper. In the “Note to Teacher” box below, tell us how you did! Once an adult checks your work you don’t have to send me the answers unless you want to. You can just let me know if this was tricky or just right.
