That collaborate button was so neat! We also have an early April birthday, so be on the lookout for another birthday shout out page! I have another idea of how to use the collaborate feature next week. As long as you stay on topic you'll be able to comment back and forth with each other! Did you notice you could comment on other people's birthday ideas? Stay tuned next week to see what we use the Collaborate spot for next! If you started drawing a birthday picture for Will and didn't send it yet, please send it today. I hope to send all the birthday pictures together tonight! We've been keeping you busy with your required assignments! However, if you are ever looking for other things to do, I am going to start adding suggestions for enrichment, or just plain for fun, to the "Helpful Links" page on my website. The most important links are right at the top of the Helpful Links page, your special teacher's websites! Don't forget to check in with them to let them know how you did with their weekly assignment. However, there are lots of other things you have access to because you are a bobcat! The first one I'm going to remind you about is Reading Counts! You can take quizzes from home about the books you are reading. The quizzes are quick and are a great way to keep your reading muscles strong. The log in reminder will always be right above the enrichment ideas on the Helpful Links page for when this page disappears. But for now, here is a quick hint: Username: Firstname Lastname Password: @NewBoston1 Good luck! If you take a quiz, I'd love to hear about it. You can always have your parents email me. However, I'm looking into a way to check in with everyone a little more frequently. Stay tuned for more information on that! Shout out to our jumping jack champions (which was all of you who actually did the challenge)! The highest number was 200 jumping jacks. The friends who attempted at least got 30 jumping jacks. Several people came close to or slightly over 100. Mrs. Erving and I are extremely impressed! And your welcome Moms and Dads for those Terrific Turtles that cleaned their rooms. I was nervous they would have found an old PB & J sandwich or something gross, but you mostly just found lost treasures like stuffed animals and necklaces. What will I have you do today... Office Hours: 9:30 - 10:30 6:00 - 7:30 ELA Read or listen to the poems Ginger’s Fingers, The Giant, and Captain’s Log in Wonders. Answer the following Question: Tell about a time a person inspired you. Remember to write in the blue box. Pay attention to spelling and punctuation. Be clear about who the person is and what they do that inspires you. Math You know the drill, go check out the practice problems. This time the skill we are practicing is fractions! The second part of the word problem should be considered a challenge problem. Give it a shot in the Note to Teacher box and I'll let you know how you did! Make sure to show your work and explain your thinking to an adult at home. Science / Social Studies Time to use your observation skills. Check out this Panda Cam. Observe for however long you’d like. Look closely and write in the “Note to Teacher” box two scientific observations. Creative Connections If you are allowed, make your own lunch today. Include at least one healthy food. What did you make?
